Anyone know anything... (0.00 / 0)
about the second district congressional candidates.  I haven't been able to find out anything about Marcus, except i think i like the slogan.  Thomas-Hughes seems promising but I can't locate much at all on here either.  Some help here please.

Henry Marcus (4.00 / 1)

My morning in Trenton (4.00 / 2)
As I sat patiently waiting for Ms. Hernandez to fill-out my paperwork, John Ginty and entourage strolled in, proudly announcing their 1742 signatures.  I thought as I left the office - interesting how similar our situations were from the far ends of the spectrum....  He's running in a blue state as conservative they come, I'm running in a red district as progressive as they come.

...And may all voices be heard in this great democracy of ours.

Today was one to tell your grandkids - "the day before I turned 40 - I filed my petition to run for Congress."

Jim Buell (the last Dem in NJ-11 to run) said to me - "everybody has to run for Congress once in their lives".  I thought to myself - "once?"  ;-)

My experience 4 years ago (4.00 / 1)
4 years ago, i was the one who went to Trenton to deliver the petitions for Vij Pawar, who was the Democrat challenging Frelinghuysen in that election. I had to sit down on a bench and wait with my petition, and i was seated between one Republican challenging Menendez and one Republican challenging Payne for Congress.  I sat there thinking and started to talk to them about their races.  I realized that they had an even harder battle than I did for my candidate.  As Tom elequently said, that is the beauty of living in our country, in every district, no matter how red, those of us who are progressive SHOULD have someone to support and believe in.  I'm proud to say that today in all 13 districts we were able to find candidates to carry our flag
