A Very Special Welcome to all of our new "friends"

by: PocketAces

Sun Sep 17, 2006 at 11:49:16 PM EDT

(To paraphrase one of our conservative heroes: "Lets give a welcome to Macaca, here. Welcome to America and the real world of Blue Jersey." - promoted by jmelli)

To all of our new Republican friends who have found our little slice of the internets, I say "Welcome!"

And for our pals over at the College Republicans - if you ever feel like your liberal college professors aren't persecuting you enough for your conservative ways, come on over here and we'll be happy to fill that gap. (If by "persecute" you mean "exposing you to reality" and by "liberal" you mean "computer science professors who probably voted for Kerry last time".)

(P.S. "Guy with No Fashion Sense" refers to the 101st Fighting Keyboardist in the picture sporting the grey suit and tan flip-flops, not Juan.)

I look at him and I think: (4.00 / 1)
"What kind of man reads Playboy?"

I suspect he harbors secret James Bond fantasies. ;-)

...to the fat and ugly guy?  why did you crop him out? he is the most persuasive anti-republican public service message i've ever seen out there?

PLEASE!!! BRING BACK THE FAT UGLY GUY!!!!

activist for hire.

Hey now. . . (4.00 / 1)
As a fat ugly guy, but loyal Democrat, I must object.

Lay off the fat guys!

What were they protesting? (0.00 / 0)
I often wonder about the direction of our party when we spend this much energy on a group of college KIDS using their First Amendment rights to become involved in politics...I wish more on our side would be as involved.

Furthermore, everyone is bashing them about the Iraq war...how do we know none have ever served or if they even support the war in Iraq. To be intellectually fair here, they were demostrating about the corruption Menendez is tangled in ... which is a question I am certainly struggling with and having a hard time defending. As all polls have shown, Kean is not Bush...when we figure that out we might be able to hold on to this seat.

I spoke with several of them who were just having a good time and very friendly. Enough with the personal attacks...Leave the kids alone and let them be...at least they are active.

I Hear You...But (0.00 / 0)
Steven, consider just how totally corrupt the Bush administration is.  In virtually every way conceivable.

Hundreds of thousands of human beings (many of them American!!!) are DEAD because of Bush's corrupt (it goes beyond incompetence or wrongheadedness) policies and many many more will die before he's gone.

Our nation is being scammed out of hundreds of billions of dollars (it looks like it's be trillions before we're out of this quagmire) that's going into the coffers of "war" profiteers for NOTHING! It would almost be worth it if Bush's policies actually made us safer.  But they do the OPPOSITE!

All that Bush has done so far has played right into the hands of the  Al Qaeda types.  They couldn't get a better marketer for their maleficent cause than George Bush if they hired the most expensive lobbyist in Washington DC and the best advertising firm on Madison Avenue!

Kean would be a rubber stamp for all that is Bush; despite his superficial efforts to distance himself while he's running for office.

If Kean comes out and starts actively denouncing the Bush policies; then you have a bit of a case.  Until then Menendez, alledged warts and all, is a far far far better candidate.

Let not the perfect be the enemy of the good.  I would have preferred Frank Pallone in the Senate; but guess what?  Bob Menendez is the candidate and he stands heads and shoulders over Junior by, virtually, every measure that matters and he deserves our support.

As for the young Republicans you refer to?  I agree with you, God bless their misled confused little hearts!  At least they're involved.

Personal attacks? (4.00 / 1)
These same college Republicans showed up at the Constitution Day event at Rutgers today and while Menendez was speaking, they interrupted him several times, even calling him a "traitor". They're not a bunch of innocent kids - they're trolls - both on this blog and in real life.

Hmmmmmmmm (0.00 / 0)
I just checked and it seems that "Starvin Marvin" just signed up to Blu Jersey yesterday.

Could it be that she or he is not a progressive member of this community but just a troll playing games behind an anonymous moniker?  LOL

C'mon Starvin, fess up.

BTW (0.00 / 0)
Note that I referred to them, (even if they were just nice kids), as "misled and confused" and that's a BEST case scenario for a Kean supporter.

President of the College Republicans (0.00 / 0)
This is "Starvin Marvin". He's not just President of the NJ College Republicans, he's also a deceptive, trollish liar.

Here he is with Tom Kean Jr:

Come on guys. You make this waaaaay too easy. You stand out like a sore thumb.

[ Parent ]
Uh... in the picture? (0.00 / 0)
... which one is the deceptive trollish liar?

Paula Rogovin & Anna Berlinrut of Military Families Speak Out asked Tom Kean, Jr. a direct question:

Q. On behalf of John Fenton of Little Ferry, NJ whose son Matthew Fenton, died from injuries suffered in Iraq, have you been to Bethesda or other military hospitals to visit wounded troops or veterans?

Kean, Jr. - No. I have not visited these hospitals. I am not allowed to because I am a candidate for office.

Phony baloney, dog-ate-my-homework bullshit answer to a direct question from people you just don't lie to: families of soldiers. Yeah, that's right: I'm still not over it. Perfect opportunity to trot out the reflexive, shallow patriotic hoo-hah these people perfect on the first day in Republican-candidate school. But he can't even summon that. So. He. Lies. What a lightweight.

"Starvin Marvin" still has time to learn a few things. Tom Kean, Jr. is toast.

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.

Be sure and read Jr's campaign book: (0.00 / 0)
