Junior Dodges 27 Iraq Questions

by: Juan Melli

Wed Oct 18, 2006 at 01:58:56 PM EDT

During yesterday's debate Tom Kean Jr repeatedly refused to answer whether, given what he knows now about WMD, if he would have voted for the Iraq War. After asking him 4 times, the moderator gave up and said "OK, you're not going to answer that question.” It's an important question because it's possible we could face a similar situation in the future and we deserve to know how our elected officials would respond in matters of life or death.

At the press gaggle after the debate, reporters followed up and tried to get a simple answer. For 8 minutes, Tom Kean Jr dodged their 23 questions about the Iraq War.

He did make two important points though:
1. Bob Menendez voted against giving the troops bullets.
2. Tom Kean Jr was a volunteer firefighter, so he understands war.

Enjoy:

I think I've been very clear ??? (0.00 / 0)
How did this stooge ever get as far as the NJ State Senate?

oh, that's right, his father's NAME.

the only thing he was very clear about (0.00 / 0)
was that he wasn't going to answer the question.  Maybe he was worried that some untrustworthy blog like Blue Jersey(who no one has time to read) would take his answers which probably would conflict with a previous statement(like almost everything he says and does) and do a Where's Junior on X issue...

I gotta hand it to Tommy boy (0.00 / 0)
He is going forward. And what does "sappor-ar-troo" mean? I couldn't watch the whole thing, about 4 minutes in I gave up. Not only is Tommy boy inarticulate, he slurs his words & doesnt include the ends of words. I think there is something wrong with his brain.

Check out my 3 paragraph primer on Polywell Fusion.

GOPalsey? (0.00 / 0)
I hear it ruins half the brain.  this would explain the stammer in his cadence.

activist for hire.

This man is so pathetic!  If holding the Senate weren't a life and death matter I would think he was some kind of sick joke.

This seven minutes of pathetic footage ALONE should disqualify him from holding ANY public office for the rest of his life!

He is so terrified of going off script (clearly because his handlers think it might make him look like a stupid idiot if he speaks extemporaneously) that he makes himself come off as a stupid and STUBBORN idiot any way!

Compared to Tom Kean Junior, George Bush sounds like Winston Churchill!

In a world in which the total population of NJ could be somehow induced to sit through the whole seven minutes of this video; I don't think he would break 30% on November 7th...and that would be the pity vote from the fanatical "true believers".

If this cretinous callow catastrophic candidate were to somehow win; I would be sorely tempted to leave the State.

I've seen him worse (0.00 / 0)
I scouted press conferences that he took questions at during last year's (FY06) budget fiasco and it was even a bigger mess than this.  The man can't ad-lid.  The script is necessary to get him just to the state that you see in the video.  And he used to have his lisp under much better control.  I guy the stress of the campaign is causing him to lose that control.

I want to wipe that smirk off his face (0.00 / 0)
I mean, really, is that engrained in all Republicans when they are born? It's truly disgusting
