Did you miss last night's scintillating edition of BlueJerseyRadio? You know, the one where Jeff and I served up the pithiest political dish in the land? The one with chairman John Wisniewski rallying the troops to keep flogging Governor Christie whose latest hissy cost New Jersey students nearly a half billion dollars?
Each week, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with Jersey's latest political buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls Number: (646) 652-2773.
Our guest, Assemblyman John S. Wisneiwski represents Sayreville in the NJ Assembly. He's also chairman of the NJ State Democratic Committee and that's the hat he'll be wearing tonight. After all, who better to discuss the ongoing SchundlerGate (tm) story than the party's partisan-in-chief, John Wisniewski?
Jeff and I welcome your calls -- especially if your name is Bret Schundler --as we unravel the complicated layers of Governor Christie's colossal $400,000,000 school-funding hissy fit. So if you're in the mood to pile on, won't you join us? at (646) 652-2773.
So, tune in tonight and every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. to laugh so hard you're friends will be jealous. Seriously. You won't want to miss an episode - and of course, you never have to. Listen to them all on Blogtalkradio, or download any show on iTunes.

It'll be hot hot hot.

Our guest will be Ed Potosnak, who is challenging Congressman Leonard Lance in the 7th District. We'll get the low down on his campaign and his thoughts on the issues of the day. Adam and I will also recap the last week in NJ politics and I'm sure he will have something to say about my next step.
So, join us for New Jersey's fastest half-hour of political talk. We'll see if we can keep up with the change-by-the-minute pace of news coming from just about everywhere these days.
Something special on your mind? Leave your thoughts in the comments, and maybe we can have some fun with them on air. Or, feel free to give us a call tonight, and share what's on your mind. Remember, it's all LIVE, so don't be afraid - join us!
Jeff is away again this week, but have no fear because JRB is here. We always love when Jack Bohrer joins us for the show and this week should be no different.
We'll talk about the current goings on in Trenton with the tax caps, privatization, tool kits, women's health and more. And it's all LIVE tonight at 8:00 p.m.
Have questions or comments of your own, drop 'em in the comments, then tune in and join the conversation! And, of course - you can always give us a call and have your say. That number again is: 646-652-2773.
Jeff will be off helping organize Democrats in Hawthorne tonight, so JRB will be my able co-host once again this week. We always love the take he brings to the show and tonight should be no different.
In addition to my co-host, we'll be joined by Michele Jaker with Womens Health Matters NJ to talk about the cuts to family planning in the final budget, the fact that there is zero funding for women's health and what happens next.
In addition to our guest, we'll talk about the budget compromise itself, what restorations helped save programs from the chopping block and what programs are still facing the axe. In addition, we'll look at the fact that everyone is jumping on the cap bandwagon and what it all means. And it's all LIVE tonight at 8:00 p.m.
Have questions or comments of your own, drop 'em in the comments, then tune in and join the conversation! And, of course - you can always give us a call and have your say. That number again is: 646-652-2773.
With Jeff's big win last week in Hawthorne, he'll be busy tonight and will try to call in to provide an update. In his place, we're lucky to have Jack "JRB" Bohrer back for another week. He has returned from covering the Blago trial in Chicago to the Garden State and is ready to tackle the news of the week.
We'll talk about the current goings on in Trenton with the budget, the aftermath of the primaries last week and the other issues facing the state. And it's all LIVE tonight at 8:00 p.m.

Long before Jeff Gardner and Jason Springer hosted Blue Jersey Blog Talk Radio together, I shared the mic with Jeff for a season. You might call me the Pete Best to Jason's Ringo. Anyway, when the BBC took note of my recent trip to London to work on the campaign, they found it novel and wanted to do a little interview. And thanks to my days at the BJBTR microphone, I didn't need no stinking satellite linkup!
UPDATED BY JASON: We had a great conversation with the Congressman, who was extremely candid on both the healthcare issue and the Christie debacle. Have a listen and let us know what you think in the comments. We tried to ask all of the questions that were suggested to us. The audio is embedded to the right.
UPDATE: The Congressman's a great "get," and a lively guest. Health care debate's in full boil, and he's right in the middle of it. And in less than 48 hours, Chris Christie's finally - finally - testifying before Congress, and Pallone and Rep. Pascrell will be there. Got questions? Call in tonight 646-652-2773, or drop your questions in Comments. Show starts 8pm - - Rosi
Among the topics of discussion on the agenda are the health care plan released the other day and healthcare reform in general. We will also talk about the questions he would like answers to from Chris Christie, who will testify about deferred prosecution agreements on Thursday. If you can't call in, let us know in the thread what questions you would like answers to and we'll try to work them in.
As always, WE'LL DO IT LIVE! - from 8:00p-8:30p tonight, Tuesday, and you can too. Just call: 646-652-2773
Each week, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with New Jersey's latest political buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls.
This week: They're just like US! - my celebrity radio sighting: everyone's favority former Jersey Guy, Craig Carton (along w/Boomer and a few other people) spotted in Atlantic City. Clearly, broadcast radio pays much better than internet radio. The juicy details LIVE tonight.
Plus - ever wonder what it's like to try to get politicians to commit to a live internet radio appearance scheduled for an exact minute within a small window of time? Ponder that. Then, tune in tonight at 8:30 p.m. and we can discuss. (Best of all - Jay's back!)
We're live from 8:30p-9:00p, and would love to hear from you. Just call: 646-652-2773
UPDATE: Assemblyman Whelan seems well on his way to the Senate, with a campaign of ethics reform, and strong support of labor. A great pickup opportunity, and a great guest.
EXTRA SPECIAL SURPRISE BONUS: Assemblywoman Valerie Huttle calls in to wish her colleague well, and of course, makes our day.
Thanks to both!
Saturday morning can only mean one thing: live radio with your calls, 10:30a-11. In addition to the best coffeetalk in town, Jeff and I will be joined by Jim Whelan who's running for state senate in Atlantic County. A Whelan victory would flip the 2nd district blue and how cool would that be?
Live radio with your calls! (646) 652-2773
In the meantime, in case you missed it, you can still catch last week's show with Senator Loretta Weinberg:

Update: In a delicious surprise treat - Senator Loretta Weinberg called in to talk about empowering county committee members to assume their rightful place in our party. This is what Democracy sounds like:

Since Blue Jersey Radio debuted four months ago, we've been streaming LIVE every Saturday morning at 10:30 with Trenton's latest buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your calls. We've had some great guests, some insightful analysis, some big laughs, and a whole lot of fun. And we're looking forward to even more fun as the fall campaign season kicks off here in New Jersey, and as the presidential campaign gets into high gear ahead of our February primary.
So, this long Labor Day weekend, Jay and I wanted to thank all our listeners, callers, and friends with a look back at some of our favorite shows:
Soon after being named Northeast Co-Chair of the Barack Obama campaign, Rep. Steve Rothman joined us for a bit of presidential politicking. A seasoned radio pro, the good Congressman knew how to stump for his candidate - complete with contact information.
The Congressman was a great guest and a pleasure to have on the show. Enjoy:
In town for a summit of local Democracy for America leaders from around the state, DFA Chair Jim Dean joined us for a chat about DFA campaigns here and around the country.
A veteran of one of Blue Jersey's earliest podcasts, Jim gave us some insight about grassroots victories elsewhere, and how we can duplicate those successes here:
We went on the road for the first time to stream LIVE from the NJ Democratic State Committee's Women's Campaign Training at Rider College, where the DSC's own Mary Campbell talked about getting women to "step up" and run for office - women like 21st District State Senate candidate Gina Genovese, who sat down with us to lay out her mission to defeat her opponent, Tom Kean Jr.:
Sometimes the best shows emerge when you least expect it. With no guests scheduled, and Jeff in California, Jay decided it was time for us to have some fun with self-absorbed radio.
So, in an already crazy segment threatening to spiral out of control, we were thrilled when Number 17 joined us for a round of banter on Extreme Makeover New Jersey home edition, NJ Pagan Pride, and chicken blood. One of our funniest shows:
Of course, these are just a few of our favorite shows. All our shows can be found anytime on our BlogTalkRadio page. And, as we love to remind you each week, you can download each new show to your iPod, just by subscribing (for free of course) here:
Update: South Jersey as the new Democratic frontier - Legislative and Congressional style. Have a listen:
Every Saturday morning at 10:30, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with Trenton's latest buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls. Who knows? - maybe this is the week we get a call from someone running for President.
Is that really the show you want to miss?
Hey, either way, Jeff and I would love to take your calls LIVE beginning Saturday at 10:30a.
This week: we were joined LIVE by the entire 24th District Democratic Team - Ed Selby for Senate, and Toni Zimmer and Pat Walsh for Assembly - who are celebrating their recent success in qualifying as "Clean Candidates" and earning the funds to compete on a level playing field in traditionally red northwest New Jersey.
If you missed last week's segment - our ode to "self-absorbed radio" - then you missed a great one, featuring pagan pride, chicken blood, and Juan. Check out Blue Jersey's 30-minute ab workout now:
Update: Pagan Pride. Chicken Blood. And a visit from #17. This episode is destined to be a classic:
Every Saturday morning at 10:30, Blue Jersey Radio streams LIVE with Trenton's latest buzz, interviews with newsmakers, and your stimulating calls. Who knows? - maybe this is the week Chris Christie calls in to explain lie-gate. Is that really the show you want to miss?
Well, maybe that's not so likely. But, either way, Jay and I would love to take your calls LIVE beginning Saturday at 10:30a.
Update: Alas, no one got laid.
But, we had fun with marijuana. Sortof.
First of all, yes, this is a total bait-n-switch. But hey, now that I have your attention for a second, I'll quickly remind everyone that Saturday morning at 10:30a you have a date with Blue Jersey Blog Talk Radio!
